A LORRY burst into flames between Halesowen and Bromsgrove on the M5 this morning.
Two lanes were closed on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between Junction 4 at Bromsgrove and Junction 3 for Halesowen at 7am.
The HGV’s cab caught fire but was stopped from spreading when the trucker disconnected the trailer.
Crews from West Midlands Fire and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and dealt with the fire.
The carriageway is back open again now and the traffic caused by the incident is clearing.
