A CAR set on fire in Halesowen this afternoon.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Short Street, off Stourbridge Road.
West Midlands Fire Service dealt with the scene, opposite Tesco Express.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said a 999 call reported the car fire - with a crew from Haden Cross arriving at the scene in four minutes.
He said five firefighters using breathing apparatus dealt with the fire.
Local resident Lily Richards, who took the above picture, said: "I was shocked to see the blue lights flashing when I went upstairs.
"It looks like the car was parked when it set on fire."
