A MAN has died after suffering a medical episode at Tesco in Cradley Heath.
Police and medics raced to the car park at Tesco Extra in Foxoak Street at around 12.25pm today (Tuesday March 9).
Sadly despite the efforts of paramedics the man was confirmed dead at the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We received a report of a man suffering a medical episode in Foxoak Street, Cradley Heath, at around 12.30pm today (9 March).
"He was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency on a car park on Foxoak Street at 12.25pm.
"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a HART paramedic attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one male patient, who was inside a car.
"Ambulance staff quickly pulled the man from the vehicle and began administering life support.
"However, sadly it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We are very sorry to hear of this sad death outside the store and our thoughts are with man’s family at this sad time.”
