A MAN has died after a medical emergency in Oldbury Town Centre.
Emergency services were called to an address on Freeth Street this morning (Wednesday, March 16), just before 9 am.
A man was in critical condition and received advanced life support.
Sadly, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8.58 am to reports of a medical emergency at an address on Freeth Street, Oldbury. Two ambulances, Hazardous Area Response Team paramedics and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attended the scene.
"Upon arrival, we found a man in a critical condition. Crews immediately began administering advanced life support. Unfortunately, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene."
Sandwell Council posted on their Facebook page this morning that the One Stop Shop and Oldbury Library is closed until further notice.
The post stated: "The One Stop Shop and Oldbury Library at Sandwell Council House are closed until further notice due to a medical incident.
“We will update you once they are able to reopen.”
