A MAN has died after suffering a medical episode while driving in Halesowen.
The man's car came to a stop at the junction of Halesowen Road and Victoria Avenue at around 5.40pm on Saturday (August 6) when he became ill.
Paramedics and members of the public rushed to try to save him, but unfortunately nothing could be done and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "A man has died after what is believed to have been a medical incident while driving.
"Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and the MERIT Trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene.
"After the car that the man was driving came to a stop, members of the public provided basic life support.
"Ambulance staff took over and provided advanced clinical care, but unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
