RENOWNED cartoonist Kev F Sutherland treated Halesowen students to a special masterclass at Windsor High School.
The session was run as part of the school’s annual Literally Windsor Week, where all things literary are celebrated and the students created their own comic strip and went away with a personal caricature of themselves, done in double quick time by the artist.
The week started with a visit from award-winning author Alan Gibbons and finished with grisly Murder in the Library, delivered by storyteller Sue Andrews. In between there were scrabble and guess the word competitions for the students to enter.
Kev contributes to the Beano and has worked for Marvel comics, Dr Who and Red Dwarf. He is also a stand-up comedian as well as assisting with The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre on stages around the country.
