HALESOWEN parents and residents campaigning against the extension of a mobile phone mast near Huntingtree Park have one day to demand its removal.
Vodafone have submitted a planning application into Dudley Council requesting an extension to the controversial mast on Huntingtree Road.
The deadline for the public consultation had meant to end last week but lobbying from local campaigners meant it was extended until Friday, May 6.
Donella Russell, a local campaigner whose child uses the park, said: “Although local residents were against this and the local primary school was against this the mast was erected outside the park opposite the school.
“Residents in the local community have not been given time to appeal.
”It seems the planning team have no real concern about how the people in the Hayley Green and Belle Vale area feel and what they want in the area.”
