HAWKINS Gordon William Sadly passed away on 4th September 2009 at The Royal Naval Associations meeting held at Bromsgrove Labour Club, Worcester Road, Bromsgrove. He will be laid to rest at The Holy Trinity Church, Lickey on Monday 14th September 2009 at 2.00pm. Gordon was born on 19th March 1924 at West Bay, Bridport to Florence and William. He served King and Country during WWII as Chief Petty Officer on LCT386. After moving up to the Midlands, he went into partnership in 1971 to form a successful Plant Hire Company "Willets & Hawkins". A loving Husband to Patricia, much loved Father to David, Mark and Jane, and doting Grandfather to Finlay, Zach and Jamie. His family requests that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to the "Lighthouse Club Midlands Branch" or "RNIB" c/o Huntleys Funeral Services, 58 Ipsley Street, Smallwood, Redditch, B98 7AE. 01527 62106 Published in paper 10/09/2009 in Halesowen News
