A MOTHER-of-one claims she was attacked by her ex-lover from Cradley Heath, who punched, bit and cut her with a knife, a court heard.
Lloyd Parker, aged 23, denies wounding and assaulting Leanne Jackson on two separate occasions.
A jury at Worcester Crown Court was told the pair had been involved in an abusive relationship over several months last year.
Prosecutor Timothy Sapwell said that during that time, Parker, of Mill Road, had thrown an ashtray at her, cutting her shin, had punched her on a number of occasions and bit her.
He had also threatened to petrol-bomb the flat she shared with her four-year-old son in Watkins Way, Malvern.
Miss Jackson broke down in tears several times as she gave evidence against her former partner, telling the court: "I was scared."
On one occasion, she said, she had been on a night out in Worcester with friends when he attacked her near the Hop Market, shouting, biting her face and kneeling her in the groin. He only stopped when a woman who lived nearby saw what was going on and threatened to call the police.
Then, on May 27, Miss Jackson told the jury that he had phoned her and told her he wanted to "give it another go", and that he was sorry.
Things soon turned sour, she said, after he brought up what they had both been up to since they broke up previously.
"He became aggressive. He was screaming at me," she said.
"He went into the kitchen and I sat on the sofa as I thought he had calmed down. But then he came back in carrying a knife and started shouting that he was going to kill me."
She curled up in a ball to try to protect herself, she added, but then felt something hot trickling from her knee and realised she had been cut.
Another attack took place on August 8, the court was told, when he forced his way into the flat after she left some of his belongings outside and asked him to pick them up.
Miss Jackson claims he attacked her again while inside and threatened to petrol bomb her home.
Mr Jason Patel, defending, told the jury that Parker denies even being inside the flat that day.
The trial continues.
