DOZENS of young Muslims from a Halesowen mosque walked, ran, or cycled on Sunday in an annual challenge aimed at raising £250,000 for the British Heart Foundation.
The group from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, based at the Baitul Ghafoor Mosque, Long Lane, joined more than 1,500 people taking part in the 40km bikathon and 10km walk and run in Milton Keynes.
Youth leader Wasim Shah said: “'We were delighted to take part in the charity challenge and continue supporting some great UK causes.
“Given the recent tragic events in Boston, this is also an opportunity for us as Muslims to demonstrate that true Muslims are passionate about protecting life and not harming it.''
