A HALESOWEN fundraiser has clinched a top award for her outstanding contribution to the Poppy Appeal.
Generous Halesonians have raised £17,974 for the poppy appeal and the Halesowen branch of The Royal British Leigon are delighted with the amount of people who donated this year.
Sgt. Chloe Brown of the 223 Air Training Corps won the Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire trophy for the highest individual ammount raised in county-wide cadet poppy appeals.
Bronya Webster, from the RBL, said: “We have had a fantastic year of fundraising and are delgihted that Chloe has won the individual award for all her hard work and dedication.”
Windsor High School and Manor Way Primary School have also won awards for the highest donating schools for the sixth and third year in a row.
