A Cradley Heath swimming club is bathing in glory after enjoying a splash of swimming performance achievements. Haden Hill Swimming Club, based at Haden Hill Leisure Centre, is celebrating after being promoted to the first divison of the Speedo West Midlands Swimming League.
It is also among the first Midlands clubs to gain Swim21 status.
The status is a quality mark nationally recognising clubs committed to providing a safe, effective and quality service for their members.
One of the club's swimmers, 17-year-old Kate Weaver, has also been identified as one of the nine talented swimmers from the region to be selected as part of an induction onto an Advance Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence' course.
The course is designed to provide athletes with the necessary skills to become champions while continuing with their education.
The club, which was founded in 1976 has around 200 members, regularly trains every day except Wednesdays and Saturdays.
