Skelmersdale 1, Halesowen 1
DANNY Bragoli hit a late equaliser to earn newly-promoted Halesowen an away point on the opening day of their Northern Premier League season.
The midfield debutant struck in the 90th minute after the Yeltz had previously gone behind to a Sargeant own goal in the 73rd minute.
After the two sides had cancelled each other out for the majority of the game, Hales went behind in unlucky circumstances after Kristian Green hit the ball against keeper Sargeant when trying to clear off the line.
However, Halesowen showed their fight to claim a good point against an established Northern Premier League outfit.
Manager John Hill will now look to go one better when his side face Belper Town at The Grove on Tuesday night.
