Civic dignitaries enjoyed a charity dinner and bucks fizz reception as the Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley received a piece of borough history.
More than £2,500 was raised as Councillor John Woodall and his wife, Audrey, were presented with two keys at the event on Tuesday April 17.
Cash will now be donated to the mayor's two chosen charities, the KIDS Orchard Partnership in Lye and Cancer Support in Dudley.
The historic keys were originally given to John Thompson, the Mayor of Dudley in 1905, and have recently been returned to the council by his family's estate.
Held at Brierley Hill Civic Hall, the dinner was also attended by council officers and members of the public.
Entertainment was provided throughout by pianist Keith Rowland, while there was also a performance by Halesowen comedian Tommy Mundon.
