Members of the emergency services dropped in on a Halesowen school to educate pupils on keeping safe.
Police and firefighters visited Leasowes Community College for the Awareness of Emergency Services Day.
Police taught pupils about personal safety and crowd control while the fire service filled a caravan with smoke and discussed home evacuation plans.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institute discussed seaside safety while the Red Cross looked at how to deal with accidents. Dudley Traffic Awareness Team held a quiz on road and cycle safety.
Andy Johnson, director of vocational courses at Leasowes, said: "It was a very successful day."
Around 160 pupils from Howley Grange, Lapal, Olive Hill and Hurst Green primary schools attended.
