Halesowen boating enthusiasts are set for a blast from the past next weekend.
Canal barges which were used more than 40 years ago by steel firm Stewart and Lloyds will be on parade when Coombeswood Canal Trust holds its annual open weekend.
The barges were used by the firm to transport steel from the factory to railways across the country.
Pat Walker, a member of the trust, said: "The barges have been arranged in conjunction with Dudley Canal Trust and we are really pleased they wil be at the event.
"People will be able to take trips on them up as far as Gorsty tunnel and there will also be demonstrations."
The Trust's open weekend regularly attracts more than 1,000 visitors, with this year's event marking the 40th anniversary of Stewart and Lloyds site closure.
In addition to the barges, visitors can enjoy a whole host of other boats including working tugs and "joey" boats, while there is further water-related entertainment with supervised canoeing.
Children will be able to find enjoyment in the play tent and fairground, while hot and cold food will be available.
The free event runs on Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20 with doors opening at 10am both days.
