A talented Halesowen teenager jetted to Germany to represent England in judo in an international training programme.
Daniel Rickward travelled to Bremen and Hanover where he competed with fellow judo stars from all over the world.
The 16-year-old Windsor High pupil, who trains at Leasowes two to three times a week, put his talents to the test.
Yvonne Talbot, school press officer, said: "It was quite an honour for him to go at that age and to be chosen to represent England.
"He has his eye on the Olympics now."
