The May meeting of the Blackheath and Rowley Local History Group takes place on Tuesday May 15 at our usual venue, Central Methodist Church, High Street, Blackheath at 10.30am.
The speaker will be Cheryl Bailey of the Wolverhampton Library and Archive Service and her subject is Documenting the Workshop of the World'.
Cheryl oversaw the project to put a catalogue of the holdings of the four local archive services (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton), including photographs on to the web at www.blackcountryhisotry. org.
She will talk about this work, about some of the archives involved and show some of the photographs.
The entrance fee is £1 and includes refreshments in the cafe before the meeting.
A car park is available at the rear of the church (access from Darby Street) but is limited.
Guests and friends are welcome.
