People of Halesowen read with care. Scum Bags are operating in the town centre!

Last week my elderly mother who has worked all her life and never taken anything off anyone was one of a string of unlucky people who had her purse stolen while shopping in the corbow center a weeks pension gone within seconds.

Only a few weeks ago whilst I was in the town I heard over one of the walkie talkies that by 11 am on a Saturday morning three purses had already been taken.

Would someone from the centre like to explain what security is getting paid for and why when the local shopkeeper went to the security office to report what had happened to my mother the office was closed.

Obviously there has been an on going problem for a while now so why isn't anything being done warning innocent people that there is a very good chance of being robbed. Can I suggest signs up warning of pick pockets operating or security putting warnings out over the tannoy intermittently.

Or is that too much trouble....protecting law abiding citizens?
