With all the disruption around Halesowen town centre, we are often reading about the lack of shopping facilities until the new Asda is finally opened.
Only a short distance from the centre, still in Halesowen, there are plenty of these facilities.
I am refering to the parade of shops at the top of Mucklow Hill, just over from Streetbike, where you will find a good Post Office/convenience store, a wool and haberdashery shop, a card shop, a good sized Sommerfield, various hairdressers, catering shops offering fish and chips, pizzas, freshly made sandwiches/baguettes and an Indian restaurant.
And there's no need to complain about the cost of parking - it's free and for those who don't drive, it's on a main bus route.
There's plenty for those who are willing to look a little further afield, and who knows, they may prefer the area to the new Asda!
