A crime scene staged by students at Halessowen College highlighted its increasingly popular Forensic Science course.
A skeleton representing a dead body was cordoned off and students at the Whittingham Road campus presented a series of displays showing how physical evidence from a crime scene could be investigated scientifically.
Visitors were able to see how blood stains could be analysed to see how a crime victim had been killed and how bullet casings could hold the clue to the murder weapon used.
Finger printing, making imprints of footprints, and handwriting analysis were also demonstrated.
Course Tutor, John Mills, said the Forensic Science course equips students for a wide range of career and educational opportunities, including scene of crime police work, laboratory work, and a range of IT, media and scientific roles.
