Staff and Pupils at a Cradley Heath school are celebrating after Ofsted inspectors graded them as good' in its latest report, only 18-months after being placed into special measures.
Corngreaves School in Plant Street was judged to require the specialist help after an inspection in October 2005 found the school to be inadequate.
Since then the school has transformed itself to be classed in the top two per cent of schools nationally which come out of special measures with a grade two good'.
A new senior management team were bought in to work at the school, including a new Headteacher, a deputy and three assistants who have all taken on a specialist role.
Assistant Headteacher Claire Roper said: "We are all over the moon at this report.
"The senior management team and teachers have worked tirelessly, giving up so much of their own time, united in one aim, the betterment of the school.
"We have put into place new and revolutionary teaching practices coupled with some good-old fashioned schooling, which has culminated in an exciting new atmosphere for staff and pupils alike and one where the pupils enjoy school, work diligently and are enthusiastic learners."
As a thank you to the children for all their hard work during the last 18-months, the school will be paying for and taking all the pupils to the seaside at Weston-Super-Mare for the day in June.
Claire said: "The children are already very excited about going."
Dedicated staff and parents are determined now to continue and improve on the new standards and procedures put in place, and are looking forward to the possibility of opening a new nursery as another means of improving the educational requirements at the school.
