A keen Halesowen gardener is opening up his very own patch of paradise to the public as part of the National Gardens' Scheme.
Ron Kerr transformed his plot at 20 Waxland Road from a wilderness into a stunning scene.
He will be throwing open his garden on Sunday June 3 and Sunday July 15 from 1pm till 5pm on both days.
The 65-year-old retired insurance claims inspector said: "When I retired I thought I've got to do something because I'm no good at doing nothing.
"So I got involved in gardening.
"The garden was a wilderness when we moved in around six years ago.
"It's been a bit of a slog but when I had finished someone came round and said I should think about opening it up for charity."
Ron, a father of one, who is married to Anne said there will also be plant sales and refreshments on offer, proceeds from which will go to Mary Stevens Hospice.
Entrance costs £2.50 which will go to the National Gardens Scheme charity.
