Police in Blackheath are holding a drop-in surgery at Blackheath Methodist church this Friday (May 18).
The surgery will become a permanent fixture and will take place every Friday at Blackheath Methodist Church on the High Street between 10.30am and noon.
Sessions will offer local people the chance to meet officers from the Blackheath neighbourhood policing team and have their say on how the area is policed.
Based on information provided by the public, police officers will identify recurring themes and work with the city council, local crime reduction partnership and other agencies to improve the problems over the coming months.
This may include graffiti, anti-social behaviour, the selling of alcohol to under 18s or noisy neighbours.
PCSO Chris Jones, part of the Old Hill neighbourhood policing team who is running the surgery, said: "The drop-in session will give local people the chance to meet their other local officers and express any concerns they may have about the areas in which they live.
"We will then be able to feed this back to the neighbourhood team and we can take appropriate action."
No appointment is necessary and a quiet area is available for those who wish to talk privately.
