A Romsley pub landlady is set for a stroll in the moonlight to help the fight against breast cancer.
Nicola Richardson, manageress at The Sun on Bromsgrove Road, will be part of a team tackling the Playtex MoonWalk 2007 in London this Saturday.
The nocturnal marathon and half-marathon, which will start and finish in Hyde Park, regularly attracts thousands of walkers and celebrities who compete in decorated bras.
Nicola claims taking part in the event last year gave her new enthusiasm for walking.
She said: "I found out I really liked it and its a great way of staying in shape. It hardly costs a thing, all you need is a good pair of trainers."
Organised by charity Walk the Walk Worldwide, the event has raised more than £24million for Breast Cancer Research over the years since it started.
The charity also offers advice to walkers by emphasising the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
