Catering students at Halesowen College have designs on a healthy diet thanks to a nutrition challenge drawn up by staff at the Whittingham Road campus.
Hospitality and Catering Manager, Beckie Dowle, said: "Students cover diet and nutrition as part of their coursework and have been looking at the Government's five-a-day fruit and vegetable campaign.
"They had to decide what made up the necessary five portions and look at various food forms.
"They then took those ideas a stage further and designed a series of placemats for restaurants with the aim of encouraging young children to eat those five-a-day fruits and veg."
Twelve students took part in the project which saw their work displayed in the training restaurant.
