A 17-year-old Cradley Heath man has died in a motorbike accident.
The victim had been riding with a friend when he crashed and hit a kerb.
The accident happened at Station Drive, Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill, lat night at 10.48pm.
The teenager died despite desperate efforts by ambulance and hospital staff to save him.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Two ambulances were sent to the scene. "When they arrived they found the 17-year-old from Cradley Heath was not breathing.
"They immediately started resuscitation attempts.
"They travelled to Russell's Hall Hospital on blue lights with resuscitation attempts continuing.
"Medics were on standby and continued attempts to save the lad but sadly it was not possible."
The other motorcyclist, an 18-year-old lad from Stourbridge was not injured.
