Priory Cleaners in Lye have revealed they received a quantity of smoke damaged clothing from Quinton Dry Cleaners shortly after a blaze at the latter store in late January.
A spokesman for Priory said: "We received some dry cleaning from the stores owners but must stress we do not have all the items that were in the shop.
"We have only just discovered how many people were missing items."
Customers wishing to claim back their property will only be able to do so if they can produce a receipt from Quinton Dry Cleaners.
The Hagley Road West site has remained cordoned off since the fire and a number of customers have complained of difficulties in contacting the owners.
