I would like to say well done to whoever it is who made the decision to get rid of most of the long stay parking in Halesowen.
As of tomorrow (16.5.07) one of the Multi-Storey car parks is being demolished.
A former Long Stay car park has changed to Short Stay as well as every other floor on the Pool Road car park.
Can somebody please tell me where on earth those of us who work in Halesowen are now meant to park?
We are already now having to park on the roof of the car park so God knows what will happen after tomorrow.
The charge to park all day has even gone up from £1.70 to £2.30.
Surely we need to be able to attract shoppers to the centre whilst the redevelopment goes on but halving the parking is not a good example of how to do it.
The Maybrook House car park is taken up by the staff who are now based there from within the Job Centre etc so that also almost eliminates that to other workers of Halesowen.
