TWO men from Stourbridge and Rowley Regis accused of killing a reveller at an Oldbury nightspot will stand trial in April.
Jonathan Davies, aged 42, and 27-year-old Nicholas Salhan were both remanded in custody by Judge John Wait at Wolverhampton Crown Court on February 2.
The pair are both charged with murdering 49-year-old production operative Inderjit Singh Dhariwal on November 23 last year.
Mr Dhariwal suffered serious head injuries while attending a charity event at the Samson Banqueting Suite in Rood End Road, Oldbury.
Salhan of Haybridge Avenue, Stourbridge, and Davies, of Old Bridge Walk, Rowley Regis, were both set to enter pleas to the charge at a hearing in front of the judge.
But barristers acting on their behalf applied for the hearing to be adjourned and it is expected a plea and case management hearing will now take place on Friday March 18.
The Judge told them he would grant the adjournment so the defence teams would be able to view CCTV and also fully consider pathologists reports.
But he said the trial of the two men had already been provisionally fixed to begin at the crown court on Monday April 25.
