EVERY week we hear of the budgetary challenges facing Dudley Council in meeting its statutory obligations. Yet despite this, we now understand that elected councillors, whom we trust in making purposeful, responsible and balanced decisions on behalf of the community have part funded the Ferris wheel in Dudley town centre and are considering spending circa £35,000 in commissioning an eyesore sculpture for the A456 Island located at the bottom of Manor way.
I understand that the views from the Ferris wheel include Poundland, McDonalds and as much as five takeaway restaurants.
Stunning!
The questions we must be asking ourselves is, how did we live without these for so long? And when are the men in the white coats coming to save us?
