A MAN was left with a serious head injury after falling from a scooter in Halesowen yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Manor Lane in Halesowen at 2.15pm on Thursday, February 9.
An ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor on board attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Upon arrival ambulance staff found a man in his 20s who had reportedly fallen from a scooter.
"The man was unconscious and, upon assessment, was found to have sustained a serious head injury.
“Ambulance staff and the doctor worked as a team to help stabilise his condition ready for immediate transfer to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham by land ambulance; the doctor travelled in the ambulance to continue treatment on route."
