MOTORISTS and residents in Halesowen are being warned to expect disruption as work on power cables is set to close a town centre road for a month.
Laurel Lane will be shut to traffic between Dogkennel Lane and the access road to the town’s former police station the from October 5 until November 2.
The closure will enable Western Power Distribution to carry out work to provide new high voltage cables.
A diversion is set to be in place via Powell Street, Summer Hill, Queensway (west), Queensway (east), Vine Lane, Grange Road and Dogkennel Lane.
A spokesman for Dudley Council said access to frontages will be maintained “where safe to do so”.
