An Oldbury drug dealer who drove away from police at high speeds on the motorway hard shoulder as drugs were ditched from the car has been jailed for six-and-a-half years.
Kierell Woollery, aged 20, was jailed at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court for offences committed in October 2017 and November last year.
He was involved in a County Lines supply operation when he was tracked by officers from Staffordshire Police.
On 2 October 2017 a Ford Fiesta was stolen from Hockley in Birmingham and its number plate changed. On 13 October the car was seen on its false plates driving northbound on the M6 in Staffordshire.

It failed to stop and drove at speeds of up to 80 mph. The motorway was closed in the area between junctions 14 and 15 near Stone as the car travelled at speeds of up to 100mph, before officers from Central Motorways Policing Group (CMPG) employed a stinger device.
As the car’s tyres deflated and it came to a stop items were thrown out of the window. These were recovered and, following forensic examination, found to be heroin and crack cocaine.
Woollery pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years for possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine and a further six months for dangerous driving.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court also heard that Woollery, of Warley Road, Oldbury, was stopped in Redhill, Stafford, in the afternoon of 15 November last year as part of a police operation.
He was the front seat passenger in a Seat Leon. When searched Woollery was found to be in possession of 13.23g of crack cocaine. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine in an earlier hearing and was sentenced to three years.
Detective Constable Ryan Fone, of Staffordshire Police, welcomed Woollery’s sentence.
“This sentence reflects his repeated offending and the seriousness of these incidents. The M6 closure caused great disruption but was necessary for safety reasons.
“Woollery tried his best to evade justice by attempting to throw away the heroin and cocaine but it has only resulted in a jail term.”
He was sentenced on 24 January.
