Halesowen College student Megan Barlow received an award from Kinver Rotary Club to acknowledge her efforts in her final year at Kinver High School.
Megan organised a song and dance evening involving Year 6 and 7 students that raised more than £600 for Cancer Research.
Graham Smith, chairman of the club’s Youth Services Committee, presented Megan with a piece of commemorative crystal and commented: “One of Rotary’s objectives is service in the community ; this award goes to a young lady who has shown a wonderful example of how younger people also work for the benefit of others.”
A certificate recognising her achievement was presented to Megan by club president Dave Goring.
