A MAN has been fined after being caught stealing tea bags from Tesco in Cradley Heath.
Dalvir Singh, aged 39, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing four boxes of tea bags from Tesco in Cradley Heath, at a hearing at Dudley Magistrates Court. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £135 in costs.
The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates Court last week.
Glyn Davies, aged 59, of Gibbs Road, Lye, pleaded guilty to stealing £35.94 worth of socks from TK Maxx in Merry Hill. He was ordered to pay a fine, surcharge and costs totalling £142.
Terry Jukes, aged 45, of Badsey Road, Oldbury, was found guilty in absence of driving a BMW on Churchbridge without insurance. He was ordered to pay a fine, surcharge and costs totalling £976.
Chad Fellows, aged 28, The Broadway, Dudley, admitted causing £200 worth of unlawful damage to a Samsung S7 phone which belonged to another person. He was ordered to pay a court bill of £212.
Geoffrey Godwin, aged 47, of Grosvenor Road, Quarry Bank, pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions that he was working. He received a three year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £206.
Donald Burton, aged 46, of Arras Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW in Bromsgrove after taking cocaine. He was found to have 11 micrograms per 1 litre blood. He also admitted driving while on cannabis, driving without insurance and driving without a licence. He received a 12 week sentence suspended for 18 months and was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 24 months. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £257.
Thomas Smith, aged 33, of Springfield Road, Wordsley, pleaded guilty to driving on Stourbridge Road over the legal alcohol limit with 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He also admitted driving without a licence. He was fined £226 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £135 in costs. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.
Jan Wilk, aged 56, of Browns Green, Birmingham, admitted driving without due care and attention on Tansey Green Road in Pensnett. He was ordered to pay a fine, surcharge and costs totalling £234.
