BOSSES at Dudley's main hospital have confirmed 16 patients being treated for coronavirus have now died.
In a statement issued tonight (Friday) - Diane Wake, chief executive of The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, announced the deaths of five further patients today - following confirmation on Tuesday that 11 people with COVID-19 being treated at Russells Hall Hospital had died.
She said: "The patients were aged between 65 and 90 years old and all five patients had underlying health conditions.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with the families and friends of those patients at this very difficult and distressing time."
