THIS is the horrific moment a young man was stabbed by a gang of youths in Halesowen.
Distressing CCTV obtained by the news shows the victim being chased up Victoria Street by three masked youths and one ginger-haired youth armed with a machete in broad daylight.
One of the two balaclava-wearing youths appears to stab at him, before another wearing a hoodie and covering his face, punches him and then finally the ginger-haired assailant attacks him, as he is trapped in the dead end.
The shocking attack on the defenceless young man, who is penned in with no means of escape, happened on Wednesday (June 17) at 3.45pm.
We have obscured the victim's identity in the CCTV footage.
Police have said they are investigating the incident and are examining CCTV.
They confirmed no-one has been arrested in connection with the attack.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "An off-duty police officer came across a male youth at around 3.45pm on Wednesday (17 June) who had suffered a small puncture wound to his thigh.
"It's understood there was an altercation between him and a group in Victoria Street that ended with him being stabbed.
"The injury is not serious.
"Enquiries continue.
"Officers are examining CCTV.
