THERE will be temporary traffic lights on a series of Halesowen roads this week as utility companies carry out work across the area.

There will be lights in Honeybourne Road from the junction of Iverley Road to the junction of Chadbury Road until November 20 as Cadent Gas replaces gas mains.

They will be in operation from 8am till 6pm. Work started at the beginning of August.

There will also be lights on Quarry Lane, Halesowen, from the junction of Hagley Road to the junction of Inkberrow Road from 8am till 5pm while Cadent Gas carries out work in the footpath. These are expected to be in place until October 12.

In Long Lane there will be temporary traffic management from tomorrow (Tuesday August 25) outside no.156 until September 7 while Midlands Electricity digs a hole in the footpath for a cable diversion.

In Hill Top Avenue temporary traffic management will start tomorrow (Tuesday August 25) outside no.s 10 and 14 while Midlands Electricity digs a hole in the footpath for cable diversion.

This will be in place until September 7.

In Halesmere Way from outside no.6 to the junction of Honeybourne Road there will be traffic management until August 26 while Cadent Gas lays a main in the footpath.

A council spokesman said: "It is subject to change, as works may appear on the network due to immediate situations arising, additional works being scheduled or works being subject to extension due to engineering difficulties encountered on site."
