Former local college student Owen Price is celebrating after seeing his name in the credits of one of Britain’s most popular TV soaps.

He got his first credit as Assistant Editor on Casualty after securing a BBC Apprenticeship.

Owen, from Halesowen, has been working in post production at the BBC studios in Cardiff.

The 20-year-old finished his BTEC Level Three Creative Digital Media Production at Halesowen College in 2019 with a triple Distinction Star.

He said: “I've always wanted to work in the TV industry so the opportunity to be a part of the Casualty team has been fantastic.

“All the film work I have completed at college and in my own time has really helped me for this apprenticeship and to prepare me for my future career.”

Bashir Yusuf, Level Three Media Course Leader, said: “Owen has always worked extremely hard during his two year course and showed us he has the determination, enthusiasm and dedication to succeed in the media industry.”
