AN ELDERLY woman has been taken to hospital with "potentially serious injuries" after falling down an escalator in Halesowen.
The Midlands Air Ambulance was sent to the scene after the woman fell down an escalator in the Cornbow Shopping Centre outside Asda.
The accident happened at 12.49pm today (Monday April 12).
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a patient, an elderly lady, who had reportedly fallen down an escalator.
"She was taken to Russells Hall hospital with potentially serious injuries.
"A second patient, a man, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution."
The air ambulance from Cosford, which landed near Lidl on Hagley Road, was not needed and the lady was taken to hospital by ambulance.
