A MAIN Halesowen road will be closed for a week next month.
Manor Way will be closed from Monday September 13 until Friday September 17.
The busy A456 dual carriageway will be closed eastbound only, between Grange Road and Cloister Drive, to allow a new sewer connection to be installed.
The move is likely to cause havoc for motorists as the road connects to the M5 motorway.
There have been roadworks in the area for months as Swedish engineering firm Sandvik, which has its HQ on the road, builds a new smaller base.
They are expected to continue until the end of the year.
Dudley Council said: "The purpose of the closures is to safely facilitate the installation of a new sewer connection.
"Access to properties and for emergency services will be maintained where it is safe to do so."
The alternative route for traffic will be via Grange Road, Vine Lane, Bromsgrove Road, Bromsgrove Street, Mucklow Hill, Kent Road, Manor Lane, and Manor Way.
