A HALESOWEN church is inviting the community to remember those lost in the Covid pandemic during a special service.
Carters Lane Baptist Church is holding a commemorative service on Sunday (September 19) at 4pm.
People can light candles in the name of loved ones they have lost, but had to say goodbye to at smaller socially-distanced funerals due to the pandemic.
Church spokesman Philip Turley said: "During the pandemic, restrictions at funerals meant we could not fully commemorate those we have lost.
"We invite everyone in our community to light candles in the name of loved ones, reflect on all they gave us and ask what we can take with us into the future.
"We will read out as many names as possible - just let us know as you arrive.
"Everyone welcome - refreshments available."
The special service is expected to last around 45 minutes at the Lapal church.
