TWO Merry Hill takeaways have received new top food hygiene ratings of five.
Bubblycious at Merry Hill, which sells Taiwanese fruit-infused and milk-based bubble tea, and Sizzled Greek grill at the shopping centre's Eat Central Food Court were both given ratings of five out of five when inspected on December 15, according to the Food Standards Agency’s website.
Mrs B's Deli and Sandwich Bar in Louise Street, Lower Gornal, was given a rating of three on November 10, and Bar Caffè Colombo in Market Street, Stourbridge, was given a rating of just one when visited by inspectors on November 10.
The FSA rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.
A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
People can see the results of all food hygiene inspections at eateries across the Dudley borough via Dudley Council’s website or on the national ratings.food.gov.uk website.
