A MAN from Lower Gornal has been fined after resisting a police officer.

Joseph Day of Abbey Street admitted resisted a police officer on January 12 in Lower Gornal.

The 33-year-old was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £135 in costs.

Sean Willingale of Acres Road admitted stalking an individual causing them alarm and distress.

The 55-year-old must have alcohol dependency treatment for six months and was handed a restraining order.
