A "FANTASTIC" Halesowen hair salon is celebrating after being given a "creative excellence" award by the Good Salon Guide.
Helen Tether Award Winning Hair, based in Gorsty Hill Road, has been included in the guide, which lists the best salons in the country, for the last six years.
It has just gone one better and has been awarded the guide's "creative excellence" award.
Recognised salons are visited and objectively assessed by top industry professionals, giving potential clients confidence in their choice.
Salons are regularly reassessed to ensure standards are maintained so membership is as good as a personal recommendation.
Owner Helen Tether, said she was delighted.
She said: "Being a member of the Good Salon Guide shows we are a fantastic salon in every way.
"We have been a member for six years so now to get the creative excellence award is great and means we are better than a five star salon.
"It’s great not only for our clients, but for our team to know the salon has reached such high standards.
"It makes us all very excited about the future of our salon.”

"For salon owners, membership brings a whole host of free services including business advice, the chance to feature in our magazines and on-line media as well as great offers.”
Good Salon Guide recognition means that the salon is at the top of its game in all areas, including staff training and qualifications, an impeccable salon environment, and great customer service.
