POLICE have been carrying out forensic examinations at the scene of a Cradley shooting.
Officers had erected a blue police tent and were carrying out forensic examinations on Homer Hill Park as it runs between the park and the graveyard today (Saturday April 7).
They are investigating after a teenager was shot last night (Friday April 8).
There were multiple police cars and vans at the scene today (Saturday April 9).
Police said the victim's injuries are "thought to be potentially life changing."
He is in hospital in a "serious condition."
Police said there would be more officers in the area today as they examine CCTV and "try to establish a motive for the attack."
Neighbours spoke of their shock in the wake of the incident.
One resident who didn't want to be named said she heard a loud bang around the time of the shooting, but assumed it was a car backfiring.
She said: "I can't believe it. I hope they find whoever has done it."
Another resident said: "It's shocking, absolutely terrible.
"It's getting worse and worse. I have never known it so bad
"On a summer's day at that time the park would have been rammed.
"There's always lots of youths on that road at night, they eat McDonald's and leave the rubbish.
"They go up there all hours of the night."
