ANIMAL lovers can get up close to goats, reptiles and small mammals at Halesowen College.

The college on Whittingham Road has launched its Animal Antics sessions which take place on Saturday mornings.

People can walk the college’s goats, handle reptiles and small mammals including rabbits, guinea pigs, African Pygmy hedgehogs and chinchillas and even enjoy a mini keeper experience.

The college launched the new activities after securing its Animal Activities License from Dudley Council with a five star rating.

Joe Cooke, the college's Animal Care Unit Manager, said: “We are really excited to launch these new animal antics event for families in our community.

"We have a range of activities including petting fun – small and fluffy, facing your fears – creepy critters, goat walking and a mini animal keeper experience.”

Halesowen News:

Nicky Francis was bought a goat-walking experience by her daughter as a birthday gift.

She said: "It was absolutely fantastic.

"I can’t recommend it highly enough - Joe, the walk leader gave us a tour of all of the animals and then we walked the goats.

"If you have an animal lover in the family, check out the experiences they have - I absolutely loved it."
