A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered "serious injuries" in a Halesowen crash.

The accident between a motorbike and car happened on the Stourbridge Road near the junction with Beecher Road East at 11.57am yesterday (Sunday September 11).

Medics treated the injured biker at the scene before he was taken to the QE Hospital.

The driver of the car was not hurt.

Police, firefighters and medics were called to the incident, which closed a series of roads.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Upon arrival we found the motorcyclist.

"He had sustained serious injuries.

"He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.

"The driver of the car did not require treatment.”

An ambulance, paramedic officer and MERIT trauma doctor were at the scene.
