LEADERS from the Muslim community brought people together in Clent to call for world peace.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association Dudley held a Peace Forum in Village Parish Hall on October 16.
The event was attended by more than 45 guests including villagers, dignitaries and guests from all walks of life.
Mansoor Ahmad Minhas from AMEA Dudley introduced the Ahmadiayya Muslim Elders Association and its initiatives towards promoting peace around the globe.
For more than one hundred years from the time it was founded in India in 1889, this movement has enjoyed an unrivalled record for peace. He touched upon the holding of such peace forums by AMEA across the UK.
Revd Kim Topham, assistant curate for St Leonards, St Saviours and St John’s addressed the audience quoting the teachings of Jesus from the Bible “Love your neighbour” and praised AMEA for holding such events. She added she has learned the similarities between faiths and looks forward towards working together.
